Bordeaux New Release: Amelisse

Denis Durantou has made, in his Château Eglise-Clinet, one of the most highly rated wines in the 2010 vintage – scoring one of Robert Parker’s highest scores for the vintage of 96-100 points.  As well as Petite Eglise, the second wine of Eglise-Clinet, he also makes a 100% Merlot St-Emilion – Château Amelisse, a wine we have followed for several vintages and have always enjoyed. This vintage is no exception and this offers tremendous value for money.

2010 Château Amelisse, St.Emilion Grand Cru
£126 per case of 12 bottles in bond
A perennial favourite of ours, Château Amelisse has once again performed extremely well under Denis Durantou’s careful management. Darkly fragrant on the nose, with notes of black berries and spice. The palate is broad, fresh and appealing, with great balance and depth. Excellent.
Drink: 2015-2022
