Bordeaux 2010 New Release: Potensac

Always a wine to punch considerably above its classification-weight, Château Potensac greatly impressed us this year when tasted alongside its “bigger” siblings of Clos du Marquis and Léoville-Las-Cases. Excellent value for money, this is a perfect wine for lovers of classically-styled claret.

2010 Château Potensac, Cru Bourgeois Médoc
£177 per case of 12 bottles in bond
From Domaines Delon stable of wines (of Léoville-Las-Cases fame), Château Potensac offers extract and substance in a supple and rounded manner. Full and rich across the palate, with an appealing dark chocolate bitterness and velvet tannin texture. Seriously good.
Drink: 2015-2025
