Bordeaux 2010 New Release: Du Tertre

If you are looking for classically styled Margaux, then look no further – this is  benchmark, traditional claret. We greatly enjoyed this at our tastings, favouring its almost austere nature and tightly-wound character.

Neal Martin of the Wine Advocate described it as follows:  “…tightly coiled and not as flamboyant as its peers, but that is not necessarily a bad thing… Very classic in style and incongruous to many of its peers, but I think this could surprise a few people in bottle.”

2010 Château du Tertre, Cru Classé Margaux
£288 per case of 12 bottles in bond
A very appealing nose of ripe, fresh black summer fruits and on the palate, cassis and loganberry meld together with silky tannins, giving a velvety texture. In addition to the fruit, there is a backbone of firm tannins and acidity. An elegant, masculine wine and an excellent example of classic Margaux.
Drink: 2017-2027
