Bordeaux 2010: Value and Style

While it’s always a waiting game at this stage of any Bordeaux campaign, there has been a slow trickle of Crus Bourgeois releasing their prices over recent weeks, including the excellent Château d’Agassac today.

When commenting on the vintage, all of us in the wine trade can tend to focus a little too heavily on the relatively small number of Châteaux at the top end of the spectrum.  However, it would be a great shame to do so in this vintage as there is tremendous quality and potential longevity among many of the wines that are likely to be release at under £300 per case.

This is a wonderful vintage for anyone looking to buy good quality claret to drink in the future and wines like Châteaux d’Agassac, Caronne-Ste-Gemme and Beaumont make worthy additions to anyone’s wine collection.

All available wines can be viewed on our Bordeaux 2010 web pages and you can also take the opportunity to express interest in any other wines that you wish to hear about as prices are released.
