2002 Dom-Pérignon: Vintage Elegance

The 2002 vintage in Champagne was excellent, creating wines that have a delicious balance of opulence and elegance. We have therefore been eagerly awaiting the release of the 2002 Dom Pérignon and have not been disappointed it is a masterclass in luxuriant vintage Champagne.

Currently a little reined in, it needs time to release its full potential, but will reward a few years in the cellar with fragrant, attractive fruit, a touch of spice and a pleasing zip of acidity.

2002 Cuvée Dom Pérignon, Moët et Chandon
£425 per case of 6 bottles in bond

“… at first intensely floral, with perfumed jasmine that dominates the bouquet. With time in the glass the wine gains richness as the flavors turn decidedly riper and almost tropical. Ripe apricots, passion fruit and peaches emerge from this flashy, opulent Dom Pérignon.” 96 pts, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate
Anticipated maturity: 2012-2032
