Bordeaux 2009 Release: Giscours

“This is the finest Giscours I have tasted in my professional career” is how Robert Parker described this wine, giving it a score of 91-93 points. This third growth has consistently impressed us over recent years and has excelled itself in this vintage, with its intensity and finesse. While this is a jump up in price from many of the other wines released so far, we believe this still represents excellent value for money.

2009 Château Giscours, Cru Classé Margaux
£438 per case of 12 bottles in bond

The 2009 is marked by a nose of dark fruits and a slight herbal note. The palate is big, bold and expressive, with a core of ripe fruit. Full bodied and structured, with good intensity and depth, there is also a degree of finesse that adds to the lovely balance of this Giscours.
Drinking: 2015-2028
