Bordeaux New Release – Ormes de Pez

We have been regular buyers of Ormes de Pez for many years and the 2009 will undoubtedly rank as one of the finest and most long-lived vintages we can recall. Under the same ownership as Lynch-Bages, the exacting standards of the Cazes team deliver consistency year on year. A compelling purchase at a realistic price.

2009 Château Ormes de Pez, Cru Bourgeois St-Estèphe
£240 per case of 12 bottles in bond

Attractive on the nose, with notes of cassis and wet stones. There is a creamy touch to the fruit on the palate and a rich nature. None-the-less, the minerality that one comes to expect from St-Estèphe adds a delightful balancing freshness, giving this a sense of elegance in an opulent vintage. Drinking: 2014-2025
