Bordeaux 2009 – Further Releases

Three new wines from the Bordeaux 2009 vintage are now available to purchase online. All three are part of the Jean-Pierre Moueix stable of wines, all of which have performed extremely well in this vintage. All three also offer excellent value for money.

 2009 Château Puy-Blanquet, Grand Cru St-Emilion
£120 per case of 12 bottles in bond
Perfumed and attractive on the nose, demonstrating the appealing qualities of this vintage. There are notes of crushed, almost cordial, raspberry fruit with an earthy, savoury character lending balance. Plump and pretty on the palate, yet elegant, with finely grippy tannins and a vibrant acidity. Outstanding value. Drink 2015-2025

2009 Château Chantalouette, Pomerol
£138 per case of 12 bottles in bond
Herbaceous and leafy on the nose. On the palate, this has a glossy and appealing quality. A simple and flowing style, with rich, ripe fruit and a real sense of structure and freshness from the Cabernet Franc. Drink 2014-2019

2009 Château Plince, Pomerol
£220 per case of 12 bottles in bond
The best Plince we have tasted by quite a distance, easily holding its own against far more expensive wines. Lifted and fragrant on the nose, with notes of raspberry, cherry and cream. The palate shows good extraction and clever use of oak to create complex and attractive Pomerol that will drink beautifully over the medium term. This has all the craft and subtle winemaking found in the JP Moueix stable this year, supported by a great vintage. Drink 2015-2025
